- American CockroachThe largest common house cockroach, reddish-brown with a pale figure-8 marking behind the head, often found in basements, sewers, and around plumbing.
- Brown-Banded CockroachSmall light brown roaches with two lighter bands across the wings, notable for preferring warmer, drier areas than other roaches — often found in bedrooms and living rooms, not just kitchens.
